West Linn Photographer continues Education in Florida
This post got stuck in the “not published” area of the blog, so better late than never. I am excited to return to SYNC in Destin Florida in February. In fact I just booked my plane ticket yeterday. This year I will fly into New Orleans and adventure for a few days before driving to the conference. Always in search of a new city to explore. I have been to New Orleans but just prior to Hurricane Katrina, I am looking forward to Cafe De Monde and some soul music.
Amazing education, friendships, sunshine, and so much learning at SYNC. I have attended this national conference for three years now and this year was outstanding. Not sure if it was my mindset, the amazing panel of speakers, or where I am in business…but this year rocked my socks off.
Two speaker were outstanding (well, they all were but these two spoke to me!) So I signed up for a photographic retreat in September in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, to learn some new tools to the trade. I have never attended anything like this but excited to see where it can challenge, change, and impact my business. I am more than excited and will come home with new skills that will translate into the senior photography and family market.
The image below is the ONE night we got out for dinner, a fabulous place on the beach, watching the sunset, it was magical! I not only attend education for fun, but also to fulfill requirements on my CPP. You must have 15 continuing education hours every three years, I just know how to choose my learning environments, in the winter, in the cold!!!
A highlight was meeting my friend Fabiana from Idaho. We have been friends in online photography groups for years and have attempted to meet several times. That never happened! Also with roomie Ana from Atlanta!
Bit of a Vacation too!
At the end of the trip I meant my family in Orlando and took two days to visit Disney World. We had a high of 88* it was fantastic! We had our own personal tour guide, Jason’s cousins daughter Stephanie. Not to read a map (amazing) and have to look where we were or where we were going! Best Disney trip ever. Thank you Stephanie!
I have seen some sunlight and ready to make great changes to business. Most years I learn a little, you know, basic marketing, sales, new ideas with High School Senior Photography. This conference was incredible and I am still processing everything I took in!
