Danielle  radiates the love of dance when she steps into her stride.

After her senior portrait session on the beaches in Oregon we decided to play a bit… it was extremely hard work leaping, then instantly sinking into the sand.  I kept asking her to ‘do another… we’re almost there’.  She would smile and try again… each step just as beautiful as the next,  but I couldn’t let her know that.  The light just wasn’t right, the feeling not there…but this particular image was the last one captured as I knew instantly this was it… This image was for me.  The ironic thing is, i don’t photograph silhouettes.  It’s not because i don’t like to, but because I just hadn’t, wasn’t good at it, and hadn’t taken the time to play with them.  All these year and now i decide i LOVE them!

This image was taken after all an amazing session at the coast.  We went to a few fun locations:  by a pier, with the family, with a friend…it was all so much fun.  i love to create images that they will cherish and last for a lifetime!   There was no better way to let her her creativity shine through.
