As an alternative to a traditional birthday cake ( and giving up sweets for Lent)…i made the easiest, most yummy (i know bad grammar but nothing else describes) dessert for my daughters birthday. Going fruit based, with no sugar to sweeten, I decided on a Mixed Fruit Napoleon Dessert. This was my twist from the Strawberry Napoleon, Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry. I had not used Puff Pastry for years and forgot how simple it is. Mixed strawberries, raspberries, and peaches to delight us all…. and made a pudding/whip cream filling, (cheated on the sweets bit there) and bamm… as lovely tasting as it looks! Give it a whirl, quick, easy, beautiful, and so very tasty!
