Welcome to Nancy Steele Portraiture. Thanks for visiting the website. My passion is creating authentic, genuine, and unique images that reflect my clients. My job is to bring the best of who you are to the camera, striving to create individuality in each and every session. I strive to bring a clean and creative look to your images. I am simple: My business is created on my belief in your legacy. I believe in community, family, and photographic education. I look forward to meeting you and creating for you!
I have a philanthropic, entrepreneur spirit. Honored to be awarded the Jerry Auker Community Service award in 2015 & 2018 from OPPA for creating & developing the Portrait Food Raiser in 2012.
I love photographic education. After many years in the business I worked very hard and passed exams to became a CPP, (certified professional photographer). Very grueling process, but I learned so much! 2018 I was awarded my A.F.P. with OPPA, and am currently working on my master photographer with PPA. This involves print competition and continuing education. I only need a few more ‘merits’ in print competition to finish up and hope within two years I can achieve this. I was so humbled, elated that I was awarded 3rd place nationally, in the HS Senior category in the GIA (Grand Imaging Award) with PPA in 2015.
As a professional woman business owner, and personally, I support Black Lives Matter. I support LBGTQ and I do not discriminate on race or gender. My work is to photograph with Love, Compassion, and Kindness. I strive to show these elements in my work. I work to live in a world where race, skin color, and gender are not only what makes us, but makes our world diverse and wonderful. I support anti-racism. I strive for diversity, inclusion & equality. I pledge to become more aware, analytical, be an ally, and active against white supremacy and exclusion.
Personal: I am a daughter, mother, mom of furry babies. I love to garden, walk, drink coffee, bake, and explore. Love new good eats and places to adventure. I am married, thirty some years to my college sweetie, Jason. We have two amazing, grown daughters. I am a TBI advocate. Both our daughters have suffered TBI’s in recent years. Check out Love Your Brain for more info on brain injury.
My former business was Picture This Photography. I have been in business 20 years now so you may see PTP a few places I am.
