Portrait Scholarship Recipient Announced

We are happy to Announce Drew Minter as the Drake Edwards Portrait Scholarship Recipient.

We were delighted at the heart, spirit, and good work Drew is doing to help others.  We felt as a panel, that Drew represented the qualities Drake possessed.  Julie Edwards “Drew received the highest score to capture Drake’s contagious outlook on life, passions and willingness to be all that he could be for those that came into his life.”

The panel agreed, all the applicants were outstanding. They gave of their time to enhance the lives of others with dedication and passion.  Thank you all for sharing of yourselves and the Character you posses.

A bit about Drew:

Drew’s passions and how he spends his time include:  Boy Scouts of America,  Medical Teams International, Young Life, Wyldlife, Willamette Christian Church ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes,  Young Life work crew Summer ’13, summer leader at the PEAK camp, West Linn Rugby, West Linn High School Cross Country Team and  Snowboarding as a recreation.  Drew had a personal relationship with Drake, “I am still amazed at how many lives Drake touched.”

To sum Drew’s words of Drake, he lived a life as a mentor, modeling how to live and love, and with great impact.  Well said Drew.

We hope to continue the award to future junior student.  “To read each year of High School Juniors applying for the Drake Edwards Memorial Portrait Scholarship will bring us together and talking about Drake … I cherish both.” Julie Edwards, Drakes mother.
